Clinical Research Coordinator I (Hybrid) - Radiology

This position is located in St. Louis, MO (63110) and supports the Radiology Clinical Research Core (RadCore), which facilitates novel clinical and translational research studies in the Department of Radiology. The role is hybrid with a flexible work schedule, operating Monday through Friday.

About the role

This position supports multiple clinical research studies by managing day-to-day clinical trial activities such as patient recruitment, data collection and entry, patient education, regulatory compliance, and documentation. The role involves collaborating with principal investigators and physicians, acting as a liaison between patients, families, and health team members, and assisting research associates from sponsoring organizations.

Responsibilities

• Implements and manages all phases of study/protocol; ensures compliance with protocol guidelines and regulatory agencies; establishes record-keeping systems.
• Makes assessments and determinations of participants’ progress; analyzes, investigates, and reports adverse events; decides when to notify physicians or stop participant inclusion.
• Recruits and enrolls study participants; determines eligibility based on diagnostic criteria; develops and explains informed consent packets.
• Explains diagnostic procedures and treatment plans to participants and families; administers/scores tests and evaluates lab and clinical assessments.
• Ensures timely completion of protocol requirements (assessments, lab testing, procedures, and treatments); schedules and facilitates patient completion of requirements.
• Evaluates and interprets collected clinical data; prepares reports and analyses of progress trends and recommendations.
• Collects clinical data under clinical research protocols.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross; online certifications without a skills assessment are not sufficient).

Pay

Salary range: $49,200.00 - $73,800.00 annually.
