Clinical Research Coordinator I

Grade Level 45 | Full-Time Staff Position | Lexington, KY

About the Role

The Department of Neurology KNI Clinical Research Unit is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to work with the clinical trials team. You will maintain select research projects and grants within the unit. Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills are required to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

• Work with research participants and collect data
• Maintain clinical research study records
• Collaborate closely with study physicians and research study sponsors
• Prepare regulatory documentation, including annual reports for Federal and Private funding entities and internal regulatory personnel

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
• 1 year of related experience (previous clinical research experience helpful but not required)
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Occasional evenings, weekends, nights, or holidays as needed to meet study protocol requirements
• Occasional travel

Skills & Knowledge

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and various office machines (computers, printers, software packages)
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Initiative, collaboration, and advanced time management skills
• Technical skills applicable to essential functions

Pay

$23.18–$38.25/hour

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (occasional evenings, weekends, nights, or holidays as needed)
