Clinical Research Coordinator I

The Center for School Behavioral Health (CSBH) at Massachusetts General Hospital is transforming how schools support youth mental health by integrating prevention and early intervention directly into educational settings. Our mission is to:

CSBH is hiring a Clinical Research Coordinator who will work independently and under general supervision of the Center Program Director and/or the study Principal Investigator(s). The coordinator’s responsibilities will include working both in the lab and at data collection sites outside of MGH, supporting multi-year clinical research studies.

Responsibilities
- Collects and organizes patient data
- Maintains records and databases
- Uses software programs to generate graphs and reports
- Assists with recruiting patients for clinical trials
- Obtains patient study data from medical records, physicians, etc.
- Conducts library searches
- Verifies accuracy of study forms
- Updates study forms per protocol
- Documents patient visits and procedures
- Assists with regulatory binders and QA/QC procedures
- Assists with interviewing study subjects
- Administers and scores questionnaires
- Provides basic explanation of study and in some cases obtains informed consent from subjects
- Performs study procedures, which may include phlebotomy
- Assists with study regulatory submissions
- Writes consent forms
- Verifies subject inclusion/exclusion criteria
- Supports school and community efforts, including attending community engagement events, and collaborating with community partners to promote CSBH research and programming
- Performs administrative support duties as required
A Clinical Research Coordinator II performs the duties of a Clinical Research Coordinator I and may also:
- Maintain research data, patient fields, regulatory binders, and study databases
- Perform data analysis and QA/QC data checks
- Organize and interpret data
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies
- Act as a study resource for patients and families
- Monitor and evaluate lab and procedure data
- Evaluate study questionnaires
- Contribute to protocol recommendations
- Under the guidance of PIs, provide peer supervision to CRC I’s
- Assist with preparation of annual review
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required. New graduates with some relevant course/project work or those without any prior research experience will be considered for the Clinical Research Coordinator I position. Those with a minimum of 1-2 years of directly related work experience will be considered for a Clinical Research Coordinator II position. Bilingual applicants preferred but not required.

Pay
Pay Range: $20.16 - $29.01/Hourly (Grade 5)
At Mass General Brigham, base pay is determined by skills, relevant experience, education, certifications, and other essential factors. The provided range is an estimate based on minimum job qualifications and does not encompass all elements contributing to total compensation.
