Clinical Research Coordinator I

Job Summary

Following established policies, procedures, and study protocols, provides assistance on clinical research studies, including recruiting, evaluating, and consenting patients for studies; collecting and organizing patient data; scheduling patients for study visits; performing clinical tests such as phlebotomy, EKGs, etc.; maintaining and updating data generated by the study.

Essential Functions

  • Reviews proposals for compliance with sponsor and organizational guidelines; verifies that all sponsor requirements are met.
  • Recruiting patients for clinical trials and conducting phone calls.
  • Verifies the accuracy of study forms and updates them per protocol.
  • Prepares data for analysis and data entry.
  • Documents patient visits and procedures.
  • Aids in regulatory binders and QA/QC procedures.
  • Aids in interviewing study subjects.
  • Aids in study regulator submissions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Science required.
  • Experience: Some relevant research project work preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
    • Careful attention to detail and good organizational skills.
    • Ability to follow directions.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Computer literacy.
    • Work with working knowledge of clinical research protocols.
    • Ability to demonstrate respect and professionalism for subjects' rights and individual needs.

  • WORKING CONDITIONS: This role is onsite at MEE 5x/week; may also be required to travel to other MGB sites, depending on the project assignments.
  • CATEGORY I: Exposure to blood. Universal Precautions and mandatory training are required.
  • LAPTOP PROVIDED
  • LIFTING OF 10 TO 20 LBS.

PAY RANGE
