Clinical Research Coordinator (Department of Neurosurgery)

About the role

The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) position in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Pennsylvania is responsible for coordinating and conducting clinical studies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and managing participant data.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct clinical studies, including subject recruitment, informed consent, chart maintenance, and data entry
• Coordinate IRB submissions and renewals in accordance with FDA and IRB guidelines
• Affirm compliance with the protocol and regulatory requirements, including collecting, recording, and maintaining data and source documentation
• Oversee study preparation and blood sample processing and analysis
• Manage databases and perform analyses
• Order and stock supplies, maintain equipment
• Inform and educate patients and family members
• Promote good clinical practice in the conduct of clinical investigations

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Knowledge of IRB and neuroimaging analysis, Python and/or MatLab is a plus
