About the role
The School of Medicine at Duke University is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to serve as the primary coordinator for clinical studies in the Division of Hematology. This position will focus on studies related to Sickle Cell Disease.
Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical research studies, focusing on Sickle Cell Disease, and serve as backup for other studies as needed.
- Manage all day-to-day study activities, including subject consent and enrollment, data collection and entry, participant compensation, study monitoring activities, etc.
- Work with the lead coordinator to manage regulatory tasks such as study start-up and close-out, IRB tasks, etc.
- Recruit and support research participants with serious medical illnesses.
Requirements
- Completion of an Associate's degree.
- A minimum of two years of relevant research experience, or completion of the DOCR North Carolina state-approved Clinical Research Apprenticeship program may substitute for one year of required experience.

- Can easily use computing software and web-based applications.
- Organizational skills, communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Technology skills, medical terminology, and understanding of clinical medicine.
- Able to flex with the demand of work schedules and timelines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Able to manage, work with, and support multiple stakeholders with different practice styles in a productive manner.
- Resourceful, able to work independently, and to problem-solve on a daily basis.

Pay
The anticipated pay range for this position is USD $61,026.00 to USD $101,959.00 annually.
