Clinical Research Assistant II, Tissue Bank, Simmons Cancer Center

About the role

The Tissue Management shared resource in the Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant II.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with clinical, surgical and pathology staff regarding timely research specimen collection.
• Procure specimens from hospitals and clinics.
• Distribute specimens to researchers on campus for time critical collections.
• Document specimen collections in case report forms.
• Discuss the research studies and consent patients.
• Communicate study status with team and clinical staff in a timely manner.
• Help with projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Associate's Degree in medical or science related field or Bachelor's Degree medical or science related field and no prior experience.
• Experience: 2 years experience with High School Diploma or 1 year experience with Associate's Degree.
• Preferred: Licenses and Certifications (BLS).
