Clinical Psychologist SME IV

Location: Psychological Health Center of Excellence (PHCoE) – hybrid / telework eligible (routine and situational telework authorized; facility space restrictions may require part-time or full-time telework). Full-time position requiring a TIER 2 (non-critical sensitive) clearance.

About the role

Knowesis is seeking a Senior Clinical Psychologist Subject Matter Expert (SME IV) to provide advanced clinical psychology expertise across PHCoE’s research translation and health promotion missions. The role supports the development of evidence-based clinical support tools, digital health resources, and behavior change initiatives that advance psychological healthcare across the Military Health System (MHS).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical expertise to multi-site pilot studies assessing the feasibility of implementing novel evidence-based practices.
• Support the development of Electronic Health Record tools and other digital resources that promote the uptake of evidence-based psychological healthcare.
• Develop tools and messaging pointing military community members toward evidence-based self-management techniques that promote mental wellbeing.
• Review clinical practice guidelines and recommendations to distill key messages for clinical support tools.
• Produce technical artifacts (e.g., reports, tools, briefings, presentations, and manuscripts) consistent with the PHCoE mission set.

Requirements

• Doctorate (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology.
• At least 13 years of full-time post-doctoral work experience directly related to the practice of clinical psychology.
• At least 3 years of full-time postdoctoral work developing tools or training to facilitate the delivery of evidence-based mental health care and promote knowledge of clinical recommendations and guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with military or veteran populations.
• Proven track record of publishing clinical tools or professional manuscripts.

Pay

$135,000 – $156,000
