About the Role
We are looking for a Licensed Psychologist to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. In this role, you will review behavioral health records electronically through a secure Web Portal and conduct comprehensive in-person assessments for each Veteran. You will complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the Web Portal. Note that this role does not involve making disability determinations—the U.S. Veterans Administration handles all such decisions, using the findings recorded in the DBQs.
This position focuses solely on performing Disability Assessments for Veterans. You will not provide treatment or prescribe medication. On average, you will assess 4 Veterans per day. The role is structured as an Independent Contractor position.
Responsibilities
- Review behavioral health records electronically via a secure Web Portal.
- Perform comprehensive in-person assessments of Veterans.
- Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the Web Portal.
- Assess an average of 4 Veterans per day.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program/school.
- Active and unrestricted Psychology license.
