About the role
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking a Full-Time Clinical Psychologist (GS-0180(81)-13) (True Morth) to support the 55th Maintenance Group at Offutt AFB, Nebraska. The primary responsibility is to oversee psychological services across AF squadrons and provide multidisciplinary support to enhance unit mission effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional consultation and advisement to Airmen and leaders regarding psychological health and resilience.
- Consult with other medical and mental health staff to ensure comprehensive support for operational units.
- Assess and treat a wide range of psychological conditions using evidence-based practices.
- Administer and interpret psychological tests to evaluate patient needs and develop treatment plans.
- Collaborate with medical professionals to improve the overall health and performance of the workforce.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and enhance resiliency among Airmen.
Requirements
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree in clinical, counseling, or combined professional-scientific psychology from an APA-accredited program.
- APA-accredited predoctoral internship in professional psychology.
- Valid license to practice psychology from a US jurisdiction.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Knowledge of military organizations and culture, and the unique stressors in an operational military workplace.
- Substantive professional knowledge of clinical psychology, human performance enhancement, and improving personal resiliency.
Benefits
Salary range: $106,437 - $138,370 based on experience. Benefits include paid time off, vacation, health insurance, retirement coverage, and more.
