Senior Care Therapy is seeking full-time or part-time Licensed Psychologists to join our mission of providing in-person psychotherapy services to the geriatric population. We serve over 300 Skilled Nursing Facilities, including sub-acute, long-term care, and assisted livings throughout NJ, NY, PA, and MD. As a clinician-owned and operated company, SCT provides supportive counseling through patient-centered psychology services that impact residents' mood, functioning, and overall quality of life. By collaborating with facility staff, we aim to improve outcomes for both residents and care teams.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual and group psychotherapy sessions for patients in subacute or skilled nursing facilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat emotional and behavioral health conditions, including depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and cognitive decline
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs
  • Collaborate with facility staff, interdisciplinary teams, and family members to support patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards using our EHR system
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution
  • Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Psychologist in the state of application
  • Effective oral and written communication in English
  • Basic proficiency with technology, including electronic health records (EHR)
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to regulatory compliance
  • Ability to provide in-person services at assigned facilities, including travel up to 45 minutes
  • Ability to walk, stand, and move between patient rooms and offices throughout the day
  • Full vaccination and booster status may be required in some facilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous clinical experience in subacute, long-term care, or geriatric healthcare settings
  • History of treating anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders
  • Psychology or addictions experience is a plus
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
