About the role

We are seeking Clinical Psychologists who are dedicated to providing quality care in a unique healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as clinician-of-the-day, providing on-call availability for patient emergencies during scheduled work days.
  • Collaborate effectively with staff from all classifications to enhance professional working relationships and ensure quality care.
  • Conduct initial mental health evaluations, including criminal, psychological, and substance abuse case history assessments, and make treatment recommendations.
  • Perform clinically sound suicide risk evaluations, applying assessment protocols and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Conduct crisis intervention, group psychotherapy, and face-to-face interviews with mentally ill inmates.
  • Identify signs and symptoms of psychiatric disorders, assess, diagnose, and manage presenting symptomatology.
  • Administer and interpret psychological tests, write clinical reports, and develop treatment plans.
  • Consult on complex cases with supervisors, treatment team members, and healthcare personnel.
  • Monitor inmate progress and maintain ethical standards in treatment delivery.
  • Conduct mental status exams and analyze relevant documents to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Compile and analyze data from audits and contribute to the implementation of new programs for patient rehabilitation.

Requirements

  • CA PSYL License
  • PhD or PsyD (Required)
  • Minimum of 12 continuous months of experience within the last 3 years performing services similar
  • 2 References
