Clinical Psychologist - Child Inpatient
About the Role
Serve as a Child Psychologist in an inpatient setting within the Department of Psychiatry, part of the Psychology Division. The Psychologist will provide psychotherapy to patients, offer treatment recommendations, deliver excellent patient care, and provide teaching and supervision to trainees rotating on the assigned service. Additionally, participate in department administrative activities as assigned.
This role involves conducting group therapy programming on the adult inpatient unit.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychotherapy to patients in an inpatient setting.
- Offer treatment recommendations for patients.
- Deliver high-quality care to patients.
- Teach and supervise trainees rotating on the assigned service.
- Conduct group therapy programming on the adult inpatient unit.
- Participate in department administrative activities as assigned.
Requirements
- PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA-approved program.
- Completion of an APA-approved Clinical Psychology internship.
- NYS license or license eligibility required.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference for candidates with relevant experience and qualifications beyond the minimum requirements.
Pay
Salary range: $75,303 - $120,627 per year (full-time, 1.0 FTE). Note that the salary information is a general guideline and will be based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, market, and business considerations. Salaries for less than 1.0 FTE will be prorated accordingly.
Schedule
Work days: Monday through Friday during daytime hours.
