Role Overview
A Clinical Psychologist provides in-person psychotherapy services to the geriatric population in skilled nursing facilities, sub-acute, long-term care, and assisted living settings. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating emotional and behavioral health conditions, developing tailored treatment plans, and collaborating with facility staff and families to support patient well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation using electronic health records.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize care.
Qualifications & Skills
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Psychologist.
- Effective communication skills and basic technological proficiency.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to regulatory compliance.
- Ability to provide in-person services within a facility.
Preferred Experience
- Prior clinical experience in geriatric, sub-acute, or long-term care settings, with expertise in treating anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills are valued.
