About the Role

Indiana University Health and the Department of Psychiatry at Indiana University School of Medicine are seeking candidates for immediate openings in Adult Health Psychology and Clinical Child & Adolescent Psychology. Academic rank and track (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) are flexible based on the candidate's experience and expertise.

Responsibilities include psychological evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with medical diagnoses in a large outpatient psychiatry clinic and tertiary care hospitals. Additional duties involve collaboration with medical treatment teams, participation on department committees, supervision and teaching of residents, interns, and medical students, and engagement in research opportunities when available.

The Department of Psychiatry has a broad research, clinical, and teaching mission, including a clinical psychology internship and psychiatry residency program, as well as training rotations for medical and graduate students.

Responsibilities

  • Psychological evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with medical diagnoses
  • Collaboration with medical treatment teams

  • Supervision and teaching of residents, interns, and medical students
  • Engagement in research opportunities when available

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Clinical Psychology
  • Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP) Required
  • Strong knowledge and clinical experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders (children and adults)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
