About the role
This position works out of our St. Paul, Minnesota location in the Structural Heart division. The clinical project coordinator will be responsible for managing activities to support clinical team logistics and other non-technical projects to support a key clinical trial for a Class 3 implantable device. This individual will proactively coordinate activities and projects in a timely way to ensure team success. The role includes interactions with internal stakeholders as well as with applicable outside vendors. This position requires initiative, motivation, and excellent communication and organization skills.
What You'll Work On
- Coordinate inventory and other supporting logistics to ensure streamlined execution of clinical activities.
- Estimate project levels of effort and resource requirements by using standard estimating techniques and tools, and by working with appropriate staff to understand scope of effort.
- Prepare project plans, schedules and budgets by using project management tools such as Microsoft Project and by working with appropriate staff to understand tasks necessary to complete project.
- Direct project execution by assigning tasks, tracking project schedules, identifying risks, and developing and executing contingency plans.
- Assure project quality by using standard development methodologies and by working with stakeholders to develop and execute project quality plans.
- Communicate project status by preparing standard status reports, and by participating in departmental project status update meetings.
- Resolve project issues by working with team members, internal and external project customers, and others as appropriate.
- Consult with internal project groups by sharing project management knowledge and assisting or mentoring others in project management processes and techniques.
- Cultivate a wide range of internal networks and begin to develop an extensive external network of resources to facilitate completion of tasks.
- Develop a strong understanding of business unit function and cross-group dependencies/relationships.
- Exercise judgment in selecting innovative, practical methods to achieve problem resolution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in clinical science.
- 4-6 years of related work experience.
- Experience working with physicians and hospitals.
- Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters Degree preferred.
Pay
The base pay for this position is $61,300.00 – $122,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
