KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Captures social services programs with other organizational programs in cooperation with interdisciplinary teams
- Provides in-service training for social service staff and other employees as needed
- Oversees and evaluates clinical consultations to ensure effective service delivery
- Guides staff to help improve all aspects of care
- Conducts psychosocial assessments to document history and identify preliminary issues for treatment
- Provides group and family process-oriented therapies and conducts educational and other didactic groups
- Schedules and staffs to ensure adequate coverage
- Develops and coordinates individualized discharge plans based on treatment team and chart information
- Attends regular treatment team meetings to provide social work perspectives and discuss progress notes, charts, and legal requirements
- Works with physicians, nursing staff, health professionals, and other departments to ensure appropriate patient treatment options
- Maintains effective working relationships with patients, peers, and other staff
- Ensures compliance with legal guidelines and participates in activities to enhance professional growth
Requirements
- Master's degree in behavioral science or mental health-related field required
- Minimum three (3) years of inpatient clinical work preferred
- Licensure in the state of Nevada as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred
Education/Licensure

Knowledge and Experience
- Experience in managing staff, development, and supervision
- Experience in diagnosis, psychotherapy, and assessment-based treatment planning
- Familiarity with community resources and age-specific interventions
- Experience with therapeutic limit-setting or understanding of level systems or other behavior management modalities

- Communicates with physicians about social service needs of patients
- Documents assessments and treatment plans according to current standards and policies
- Uses Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel

- Communicates verbally and in writing clearly and effectively
- Works independently and as part of a team
- Exercises self-control in potentially volatile situations
- Works in a fast-paced, expanding environment
Physical Requirements
- Stoops, kneels, crouches, reaches, stands for sustained periods
- Walks, pushes, pulls, lifts, carries objects from lower to higher positions or horizontally from position to position or otherwise moves objects
- Expresses or exchanges ideas orally and potentially loudly, accurately, or quickly
- Has minimum standard of hearing ranging from normal to severe hearing loss
- May be subjected to temperature changes but generally not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
