Visa Information

TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients by obtaining and reviewing health histories, assessing presenting illness, and performing an appropriate physical examination
• Educates patients on wellness, illness prevention, and disease management
• Prepares and completes timely and accurate documentation for medical records
• Participates in quality improvement, continuing education, and patient care programs established by the department, clinic, and/or hospital
• Participates in the training and education of residents and medical students

Requirements

• MD, DO, or equivalent
• Completion of USMLE Step 3
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency
• ABMS Board Certified in Family Medicine

Preferred Qualifications

• Subspecialty Board Certification
