Responsibilities
- Ensures TOS collections and physician target visit levels are met monthly.
- Maintains knowledge of legal and regulatory guidelines related to practice environment and medical records.
- Monitors overtime and keeps it to minimum and monitors uses of resources with recommendations for change.
- Assists director with activities related to accreditation and regulatory issues.
- Maintains knowledge of legal and regulatory guidelines related to practice environment and medical records.
- Assures that customer service is a focus of the practice.
- Uses information from patient satisfaction surveys to improve patient perception of care.
- Demonstrates and ensure team understands and responds to suggestions/concerns from patients/family/visitors/personnel/medical staff.
- Resolves concerns and responds to complaints related to care, access, and service.
- Patient waiting time should be no longer than 20 minutes for on-time arrival by overseeing daily schedule.
- Assists with the development of new or the expansion of current services, evaluates office design, patient flow and access.
- Participates in setting both short and long term goals for the practice business plan.
- Provides monthly reports of office efficiency and access including goals and uses patient satisfaction and evidence based care for strategic plan.
- Demonstrates accountability for ensuring availability of resources necessary to ensure positive patient outcomes.
- Develop career plans with team members including discipline and plans for improvement.
- Facilitates the Business Practice Assessment including participation and analysis of results and plan for improvement based on results of survey.
- Facilitates monthly proactive meeting with physicians to review financials and other operational issues to ensure the practices are running smoothly and financially strong.
- Participates/oversees the planning and monitoring of the budget for defined areas to include appropriate resource allocation determination.
- Assures quality of service and access by developing strategic business plan with physicians and director and management of daily operations.
- Makes sure practice complies with quality indicators and coding compliance.
- Oversees the completeness and accuracy of medical records for continuity of care and timely service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, nursing or relevant field (Required)
- Recent relevant experience (Required)
- One year supervisory experience (Preferred)
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) (Preferred)
