Clinical PHP Manager- LCPC LCSW

About the role

Located in Garfield Park, the child/adolescent partial hospitalization program (PHP) serves school‑age children and adolescents ages 12‑17 who need therapeutic behavioral health services but do not require 24‑hour monitoring. The Clinical PHP Manager provides direct patient care under the Director of PHP/IOP Services, ensuring a safe therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, group facilitation, transportation coordination, discharge planning assistance, and department recruitment, while also overseeing program implementation, training, and scheduling. This role is part of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), a Fortune 500 provider of hospital and healthcare services with approximately 94,000 employees nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the Director of PHP/IOP Services
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu
• Conduct crisis intervention (verbal and physical techniques)
• Facilitate group meetings
• Coordinate patient transportation
• Assist with discharge planning
• Handle department recruitment
• Implement programs, training, and schedule

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, or any Human Health‑related field
• Experience: 3+ years working within an inpatient psychiatric hospital with children, adolescents, and adults
• Experience utilizing crisis intervention verbal and physical techniques
• Experience conducting group therapy sessions, performing vital signs, and documenting nursing progress notes
• Experience supervising a staff of at least 4 employees
• Licensure/Certification: Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); CADC strongly preferred
