Responsibilities
- Aid pharmacists in delivering clinical services, including MTM, CMM, CMRs, TMRs, immunization support, point-of-care testing, remote patient monitoring, chronic disease management, and more.
- Conduct administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Engage in patient outreach for medication synchronization, adherence programs, and clinical follow-up.
- Document patient health information to support clinical decision-making.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to deliver efficient clinical services.
- Educate patients on proper medication use, adherence strategies, and self-care practices.
- Serve as a patient advocate and ensure appropriate care.
- Coordinate with providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics.
- Assist with prescription processing, filling, inventory management, and insurance troubleshooting.
- Work with the pharmacy team to process prescriptions, fill orders, manage inventory, and troubleshoot insurance issues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Age 18 to work as a technician.
- Working knowledge of business math.
- Communications or public relations courses helpful.
- Current state certification or registration as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT preferred).
- One year experience in a similar position with clinical pharmacy experience.
- Completion of pharmacy technician school desirable.
- Prior community pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage and build rapport with patients and healthcare providers.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Comfortable using pharmacy technology platforms, clinical documentation systems, and data reporting tools.
- Willingness to receive Community Health Worker Training.
