Responsibilities

  • Aid pharmacists in delivering clinical services, including MTM, CMM, CMRs, TMRs, immunization support, point-of-care testing, remote patient monitoring, chronic disease management, and more.
  • Conduct administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in patient outreach for medication synchronization, adherence programs, and clinical follow-up.
  • Document patient health information to support clinical decision-making.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to deliver efficient clinical services.
  • Educate patients on proper medication use, adherence strategies, and self-care practices.
  • Serve as a patient advocate and ensure appropriate care.
  • Coordinate with providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics.
  • Assist with prescription processing, filling, inventory management, and insurance troubleshooting.
  • Work with the pharmacy team to process prescriptions, fill orders, manage inventory, and troubleshoot insurance issues.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Age 18 to work as a technician.
  • Working knowledge of business math.
  • Communications or public relations courses helpful.
  • Current state certification or registration as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT preferred).
  • One year experience in a similar position with clinical pharmacy experience.
  • Completion of pharmacy technician school desirable.
  • Prior community pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to engage and build rapport with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Comfortable using pharmacy technology platforms, clinical documentation systems, and data reporting tools.
  • Willingness to receive Community Health Worker Training.
