About the role

Join the abdominal solid organ transplant team at UF Health Shands Hospital, a top-ranked hospital consistently recognized for its high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Support the adult liver, kidney, and pancreas transplant programs primarily on the inpatient side.
  • Rotate weekends/holidays on-call assignments (averaging every 3-4 weeks).
  • Opportunities to precept PGY1 and PGY2 residents as well as adjunct faculty appointments at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy.
  • Precept APPE students.
  • Participate in conference attendance and other professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education and Experience: PharmD or equivalent education and hospital or ambulatory training / experience required, based on practice area of the position.
  • PGY2 residency or equivalent experience required. PGY 2 residency training is preferred.
  • Two to four years-experience in a relevant practice area will be considered equivalent to each year of residency training.
  • Board certification is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff, pharmacy residents, and students.
  • Knowledge and understanding of general hospital and outpatient clinic operations.
  • Ability to integrate clinical services, and educational activities.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Minimum of two to four years of relevant practice experience, or PGY2 residency or equivalent experience.
  • Board certification preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with hospital and outpatient clinic operations.

Skills
