Clinical Pharmacy Manager; Infectious Disease; Mount Sinai Hospital
for section headings like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We must include only sections with real specific content. We need to parse the job description.
We have description: Job Description (intro paragraph). Then "Responsibilities" heading with bullet list. Then "Educational/Professional Development" and "Supervisory Functions" subheadings under responsibilities? Actually they appear under responsibilities but could be separate sections. The instruction: Use for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we should map content to those headings if present. The posting includes: Job Description (intro), Responsibilities (detailed list), Educational/Professional Development (maybe part of Responsibilities or Qualifications?), Supervisory Functions (maybe part of Responsibilities), Qualifications (Education Requirements, Experience Requirements, Licensing and Certification Requirements). Also Employer Description (maybe About the role? Actually "About The Mount Sinai Health System" is employer description). Also Compensation (Pay). No explicit Benefits or Schedule. So we should include sections: About the role (maybe the intro job description?), Responsibilities, Qualifications, Pay. Possibly also "Requirements" but we have Qualifications covering education, experience, licensing. Could split into Requirements (maybe experience) and Qualifications (education/cert). But instruction says use those headings if content exists. We have content for Qualifications (Education Requirements, Experience Requirements, Licensing and Certification Requirements). Could also have Requirements (maybe same as Qualifications). Safer to combine into Qualifications section.
We need to avoid repeating job title as heading. No Job ID.
We must remove boilerplate: EEO, equal opportunity, etc. Also remove navigation, cookie, legal, scam-warning, duplicated lines, application instructions. The posting includes "Equal Opportunity Employer" paragraph - remove. Also "Employer Description" maybe we keep as About the role? Actually "About The Mount Sinai Health System" is employer description; we could put that under About the role or maybe a separate section "About the role" (the role description). The intro paragraph "Job Description Responsible for carrying out clinical pharmacy services..." is the role description. So we can put that under About the role.
We need to preserve all substantive information. So we need to include the detailed responsibilities list, the educational/professional development, supervisory functions, qualifications details, employer description, compensation.
We must format lists using - . For prose use
.
We must not create sections with filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present.
We need to decide headings:
- About the role: intro paragraph (Job Description ...) maybe also employer description? Could combine both? But better to have About the role = role description (the first paragraph). Employer description maybe could be under About the role as well? But we could also create a separate section "About the Mount Sinai Health System" but not in allowed headings list. The allowed headings are limited to those examples; but we could still use other headings? The instruction: Use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It says e.g., implying those are examples but we should likely stick to those. However we could also add other headings if needed? The instruction: "Use for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." It suggests we should use those headings for sections; not prohibited to use others but likely they expect those. Safer to stick to those.
Thus we need to map content:
- About the role: The introductory paragraph describing the role (Job Description ...). Could also include employer description? Might be considered "About the role" includes description of the role and maybe the organization? But we have separate "Employer Description" which is about the organization. Could we put that under About the role as well? Might be okay but risk of missing info. However we could treat "Employer Description" as part of About the role (the role's organization). The instruction says preserve ALL substantive information; we can include it in About the role section.
- Responsibilities: All the bullet points under Responsibilities heading, plus the Educational/Professional Development and Supervisory Functions sub-sections (they are part of responsibilities). We'll combine them into one responsibilities list.
- Qualifications: Education Requirements, Experience Requirements, Licensing and Certification Requirements.
- Pay: Compensation paragraph.
We should not include Benefits or Schedule as not present.
We must not include boilerplate like Equal Opportunity Employer.
We must not include duplicated lines.
Now craft HTML.
We'll start with About the role
then
with the intro paragraph and employer description combined? Might be long; better to split into two paragraphs: first the role description, second the employer description. Both under same heading? That's okay.
Then
Responsibilities
then with - items.
We need to extract responsibilities list from the text.
Let's parse the responsibilities section:
After "Responsibilities" heading, there is a paragraph: "Demonstrates the ability to perform clinical/technical/service/administrative tasks:" then a list of items each starting with a capital letter and ending with a period. They are separated by line breaks? We'll treat each as a bullet.
List items:

- Demonstrates initiative and leadership
- Remains current with various pharmaceutical databases, national guidelines, and follows evidence-based medicine for medication therapy management of disease states
- Provides education to patients, family members, and/or caretakers about disease states and medications, including: (then a sublist)
- Desired results and/or goals of chronic disease states
- Name, strength, description, and purpose of each medication
- How to administer each medication timely, safely, and appropriately
- How agents work to attain adequate therapy
- Interacting foods, disease states, and drugs where appropriate
- Importance of therapeutic drug monitoring for efficacy and toxicity
- Recognition of disease state exacerbation and procedures to follow in these instances
- Recognition of side effects of therapy and the importance of notifying his/her physician if any should occur
- Importance of adherence to pharmacotherapy and appointments

- Geriatric
- Identifies physical, behavioral and emotional characteristics typical for the age group
- Modifies approaches based on patient age-specific needs and responses to treatment

Then after that there is "Educational/Professional Development" heading with bullet points:

- Supervises pharmacy employees
- Interviews candidates for pharmacy management and staff positions
- Implements discipline and corrective action plans for assigned pharmacy staff
- Promotion of employees based on assessment of clinical skills, if applicable
- Responsible for employee performance evaluations for assigned staff
- Attends and contributes to pharmacy management meetings
- Provides off-hour coverage for the department
We'll combine all these into one responsibilities list.
Now Qualifications:
Education Requirements: Doctor of Pharmacy Degree required; ASHP-Accredited PGY-1 required; PGY-2 preferred; Board Certification (e.g., BCPS, BCCCP) strongly encouraged
Experience Requirements: 3 years hospital experience or equivalent, with clinical experience/training
Licensing and Certification Requirements: Name: Registered Pharmacist; Issuing Agency: NYS Board of Pharmacy; Continues to meet regulatory, educational, and licensure requirements throughout employment, as set forth by New York State regulations.; Achieves annual requirement of 15 continuing education hours (ACPE approved).
We'll format as list items.
Pay: The compensation paragraph: "The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $159000 - $190565 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits."
We'll put that in a
under
Pay
.
Now About the role: We'll combine intro paragraph and employer description.
Intro paragraph: "Job Description Responsible for carrying out clinical pharmacy services, promoting clinically and evidence-based rational drug therapy, and sound pharmaceutical care through the development of new (or expansion of existing) pharmacy practice programs, drug therapy policies, and other programs. Serves as a clinical pharmacy infectious disease resource for the health system and its affiliated pharmacy services.
