About the role
The Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacy Manager at MSHS reports to the Senior Director, Ambulatory Pharmacy. This role focuses on delivering clinical pharmacy services with a focus on chronic disease management, promoting clinically rational drug therapy, and managing medication management performance improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Delivery of clinical pharmacy services with a focus on chronic disease management
Identify, develop, and implement new pharmacy strategies and innovation pilot projects across responsible clinics/areas
Precepting for the MSHS PGY1 and MSHP PGY2 ambulatory care pharmacy residency programs and students from colleges of pharmacy
Manage pharmacy students and residents as requested
Supervise pharmacy employees
Support financial, quality and utilization analytics and performance improvement evaluations
Interview candidates and support in leading orientation activities
Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy Degree required
ASHP-Accredited PGY-1 required; PGY-2 preferred
Board Certification (BCACP) or obtain BCACP within 2 years of hire, required
Licensing and Certification Requirements: Registered Pharmacist, NYS Board of Pharmacy, continues to meet regulatory, educational, and licensure requirements throughout employment, as set forth by New York State regulations
Additional Skills and Qualities: Chronic disease management, care management, MTM experience, CDTM experience, pop-health experience
