About the role

The Clinical Pharmacist provides pharmaceutical care according to professional and departmental standards and statutory requirements. They provide safe, effective, rational, and cost-conscious pharmacotherapeutic recommendations through the department's medication management programs. The role involves assisting in supervising the functional activities of Pharmacy Technicians and Interns, participating in department-directed medication management activities, demonstrating good judgment and decisiveness, maintaining a working knowledge of current pharmaceutical practice, and supporting management by providing oversight, guidance, and support for all assigned areas.

Responsibilities

  • Provides pharmaceutical care according to professional and departmental standards and statutory requirements.
  • Provides safe, effective, rational, and cost-conscious pharmacotherapeutic recommendations through the department's medication management programs.
  • Assists in supervising the functional activities of Pharmacy Technicians and Interns.
  • Participates in department-directed medication management activities consistent with Beaumont Health goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrates good judgment and decisiveness during daily activities, maintaining a working knowledge of current pharmaceutical practice, and demonstrates a personal commitment to professional growth.
  • Supports management by providing oversight, guidance and support for all assigned areas and participates in the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of new programs and activities.

Requirements

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree or Pharm.D. degree in pharmacy.
  • Preferred: Residency training.
  • Preferred: 1 year of relevant experience in pharmacy experience (or equivalent).
  • LIC-Clinical Pharmacist - STATE_MI State of Michigan 90 Days required.
  • LIC-Pharmacist Controlled Substance - STATE_MI State of Michigan 90 Days required.
  • CRT-Immunization - APhA American Pharmacists Association required.
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association required.
  • Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross required.

Qualifications
