Essential Functions
- Reviews patients' medication order for allergy interactions, duplication of therapy, appropriateness of drug therapy, and drug-drug interaction.
- Makes appropriate evidence-based interventions to optimize medication use.
- Safeguards and efficiently delivers medications to care areas.
- Promotes quality medication education and adherence.
- Counsels patients and ensures they are well-informed, treated respectfully, and receive high-quality service.

Minimum Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution (education verified).
- Licenses to practice pharmacy in the state of practice and dispense controlled substances.
- Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy in the state of practice.
- Effective communication, people management, and project management skills.
- Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pediatric hospital pharmacy experience.
- Previous experience working in an integrated healthcare delivery system.
- Board Certification.
- Health System Residency.
Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and assess customer needs.
- Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors requiring verbal communication, hearing, and understanding of spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate supplies and equipment with precision and accuracy.
- Frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
