About the role

Provides pharmacy services and ensures the appropriate selection, dosing, administration, and dispensing of medication orders. Works alongside a passionate and dedicated team at Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure patients receive their prescriptions accurately, timely and respectfully.
  • Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.
  • Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain professional interactions with patients to facilitate successful patient experiences.
  • Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients.

Requirements

  • PharmD or Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current state within 90 days of hire.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross and completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations or certification obtained within 90 days (for individuals required to administer immunizations).
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
  • Completion of a post-graduate year 1 residency (PGY1), fellowship or 2 years of relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Board certification preferred.

Qualifications

Skills

  • Safe, efficient, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services.
  • Ability to perform the job while standing and walking for prolonged times, approximately 75% of shift and continuously for extended periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and dispensing functions of the job.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Pay

Pay Range: $112,110.00 - $170,955.00 annually.

Schedule

Caregivers work a 7-on/7-off schedule from Monday night through the following Monday morning. Shifts are 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. There is no on-call requirement; however, caregivers carry a pager while on site.
