Clinical Pharmacist - Inpatient, Evenings, 7 On/ 7 Off

About the role

Marymount Hospital, a 269-registered bed acute care, faith-based hospital and Magnet-recognized member of the Cleveland Clinic Healthcare System, seeks an Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a community-focused environment. This primarily centralized role supports general inpatient and operational pharmacy services from the first-floor pharmacy, working with a collaborative team of approximately 36 caregivers. The position blends clinical and operational responsibilities, with active participation in interdisciplinary emergency responses such as codes and stroke alerts. This role offers continuous learning through cross-coverage opportunities in a dynamic, close-knit setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services.
• Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.
• Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with national accreditation standards.
• Maintain professional interactions with patients to facilitate successful patient experiences.
• Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients.

Qualifications

• PharmD or Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current state within 90 days of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
• Completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations or certification obtained within 90 days (for individuals required to administer immunizations).
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (required within one year of hire for caregivers required to respond to adult or pediatric cardiopulmonary arrest).

Preferred qualifications

• Board certification.
• Completion of a post-graduate year 1 residency (PGY1), fellowship or 2 years of relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience.
• Post-graduate year 2 residency (PGY2) or relevant experience for Clinical Pharmacists hired in a specialized pharmacy practice area (i.e. Critical Care, Oncology).

Schedule

• 7-on/7-off afternoon/evening schedule from 11:00am to 9:15pm.
• Rotation begins Wednesday and runs through Tuesday, followed by seven days off.
• Weekend coverage is built into the rotation, with no float expectations.

Pay

• Minimum Annual Salary: $112,110.00
• Maximum Annual Salary: $170,955.00
• Actual compensation determined after considering work history, experience, skill set, and education.

Benefits

• Eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $10,000.
• Relocation reimbursement up to $5,000.

Physical requirements

• Ability to perform the job while standing and walking for prolonged times, approximately 75% of shift and continuously for extended periods of time.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and dispensing functions of the job.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Position often includes reaching, stretching, stooping, climbing steps and sitting.
• Must have normal or corrected vision.
• Must have ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.
