About the role

The Inpatient Pharmacist supports general pharmacy operations at Main Campus, primarily working within the central inpatient pharmacy located in the main building. This role contributes to medication distribution, order verification, and overall inpatient workflow across a large, complex hospital environment. Caregivers may have opportunities to cross-train and float to specialized areas such as the Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute (HVTI) and the IV room, gaining broader clinical and operational exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services.
  • Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.
  • Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
  • Actively contribute to medication safety initiatives.
  • Ensure all pharmacy operations are in compliance with national accreditation standards.
  • Directs staff appropriately to provide safe and efficient care and maintain professional working relationships with all caregivers.
  • Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers and/or patients.

Requirements

  • PharmD or Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy
  • Current State licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current state within 90 days of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross for individuals required to administer immunizations

Qualifications

  • Board Certification
  • Completion of a post-graduate year 1 residency (PGY1), fellowship or relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Post-graduate year 2 residency (PGY2) or relevant experience preferred for Clinical Pharmacists hired in a Specialized Pharmacy practice area

Pay

Minimum Annual Salary: $101,900.00 Maximum Annual Salary: $155,390.00
