Responsibilities

  • Dispense, compound, label, store, and ensure the proper use of pharmaceutical preparations.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of the department.
  • Direct Pharmacy Technicians and advance the goals of Norton Healthcare.
  • Use principles of pharmaceutical care to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes for individual patients.
  • Provide pharmacy-related education to pharmacists, technicians, other health care practitioners, and the public.
  • Exercise leadership in all matters related to the medication use process for patients of all ages.
  • Support and facilitate the QI process through on-going development and monitoring of performance improvement indicators.
  • Growth and facilitation of Pharmacy work teams to meet quality, clinical standards of care.
  • Assist the Director to provide effective and efficient use of all resources and ensure budget and value proposition targets are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy
  • Desired: Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy
  • Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist
