Clinical Pharmacist
About the role
The Clinical Pharmacist at St Joseph Medical Center plays a crucial role in ensuring safe and effective medication management for patients. Your responsibilities include reviewing every prescription in your queue for potential drug interactions, correct dosing, patient allergies, or anything unusual. You will interpret medication orders, verify and check medications prepared by other pharmacy personnel, and communicate drug information to patients and health professionals.
Responsibilities
- Review prescriptions for potential drug interactions, correct dosing, patient allergies, or anything unusual.
- Interpret medication orders and ensure accurate entry into the computer system.
- Verify and check medications prepared by other pharmacy personnel.
- Communicate drug information to patients and health professionals.
- Resolve drug-related problems by consulting with other health care professionals.
- Document clinical activities and interventions such as consults, patient teachings, and other patient-specific information.
- Achieve and maintain an adequate basic knowledge base to provide clinical services for all age groups served.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, or Doctor of Pharmacy, upon hire.
- Pharmacist license in WA, upon hire.
- Basic Life Support - CPR certification, upon hire.
Preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification, upon hire.

Pay
The posted compensation range for this position is $69.30 - $94.00 per hour, reflecting the lowest and highest pay CommonSpirit Health believes it might pay for this role, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit Health may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is 0 hours per week, with a shift of 0700-2300, Monday through Sunday.
