Clinical Pharmacist

Duties

• Understands, performs and is compliant with all pharmacist steps in the Medication Use Process.
• Understands and is compliant with implemented USP Chapter 797 regulations; including supervising the IV room activity when it is their scheduled role for the shift to ensure patient safety.
• Maintains focus and professional demeanor in fast paced environment.
• Identifies opportunities for professional growth and actively participates in department educational activities.

Qualifications

• All required education is a minimum requirement. Higher levels of education are acceptable.
• Bachelor's Degree OR PharmD from an accredited college of Pharmacy required.
• 30 hours of continuing education (including 6 hours of ACPE -01 for MTS certificate) every 2 years for license renewal (documented in NABP CPE monitor and/or Missouri Board of Pharmacy approved CE) required.
• Licence in good standing with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy required within 120 days.
• MTS (Medication Therapy Services) Certificate from the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy required within 120 days.
• Experience with unit-dose systems, IV Admixture programs, and inservice programs to public, healthcare professionals, and providing clinical pharmacy services required.
• Experience in computer applications to pharmacy services required.
• Experience in pre-packing\batch preparation\compounding skills required.
