About the role
The Wayne Inpatient Pharmacy position at Corewell Health Wayne Hospital is a full-time, rotating shift role. The hospital, established in 1957, serves western Wayne communities and is a Level III Trauma Center. It collaborates with Detroit Metropolitan Airport and the CDC on various health and communicable disease concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provides pharmaceutical care according to professional and departmental standards and statutory requirements.
- Provides safe, effective, rational, and cost-conscious pharmacotherapeutic recommendations through the department's medication management programs.
- Assists in supervising the functional activities of Pharmacy Technicians and Interns.
- Participates in department directed medication management activities consistent with Beaumont Health goals and objectives.
- Demonstrates good judgment and decisiveness during daily activities, maintaining a working knowledge of current pharmaceutical practice, and demonstrates a personal commitment to professional growth.
- Supports management by providing oversight, guidance, and support for all assigned areas and participates in the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of new programs and activities.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
- Required: 1 year of relevant experience in pharmacy.
- PREFERRED: Licenses - Clinical Pharmacist - STATE_MI, State of Michigan (90 days required); Licenses - Pharmacist Controlled Substance - STATE_MI, State of Michigan (90 days required).
