About the role

This role involves providing safe, effective, and cost-efficient pharmaceutical care by reviewing medication orders, ensuring proper medication storage, and dispensing medications accurately. The pharmacist offers patient counseling, promotes adherence, and maintains compliance with regulatory requirements, including state and federal laws.

Responsibilities

  • Review and optimize medication therapy
  • Ensure timely medication preparation and delivery
  • Provide patient education and counseling
  • Supervise pharmacy support staff
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve operational or patient care issues
  • Identify process improvements and safety hazards
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and documentation

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
  • Valid pharmacist license
  • Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and compliance requirements
