About the role

The Clinical Partner (CP) provides basic technical nursing skills (deemed competent) and delegated tasks (i.e. wound care, discontinuing a saline lock, discontinuing a Foley catheter) under the direction and/or supervision of the registered nurse in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act, Florida Statues and BHSF policy. The CP is a valued member of the nursing team who works in close collaboration with the assigned RN to provide safe and quality patient centered care. Examples of nursing activities that cannot be delegated to unlicensed assistive personnel include: assessment and evaluation of the impact of interventions on care provided to the patient.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic technical nursing skills and delegated tasks under the direction and/or supervision of a registered nurse
  • Provide wound care, discontinue saline locks, and discontinue Foley catheters as directed
  • Collaborate with the assigned RN to deliver safe and quality patient-centered care

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • 2 years of experience preferred
  • Previous experience as a CNA or LPN in an acute care facility in the state of Florida preferred

Pay

Estimated pay range for this position is $17.79 - $23.13 per hour depending on experience.
