Job Summary
The Clinical Operations Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department services under the direction of the Department Director. They must support a patient-centered care culture, provide leadership, and ensure a supportive work environment.
Principle Functions
- Works cohesively with the Department Director to provide quality patient care in a Primary Care setting.
- Understands “Just Culture” and drives support for a healthy, supportive work environment.
- Coordinates department staff schedules and attends meetings as a Department Representative.
- Conducts performance evaluations and participates in the interview process.
- Provides quarterly check-ins with employees and helps create policies, protocols, and standard work processes.
- Delivers information about changes in procedures or processes and ensures appropriate staffing.
- Acts as a liaison with other departments and coordinates computer issues.
- Manages staff during staffing levels and reviews timecards for accuracy.
- May work in clinical or front office positions as needed.
JOB KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High school diploma or GED, graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (for MA-C), Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program (for LPN), Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (for RN).
- Licenses: Active WA State MA-C, LPN, or RN license.
- Certifications: BLS Clinical / Leadership.
- Experience: At least 10 years’ experience as an MA-C in clinic setting, at least 10 years’ experience as an LPN in clinic setting, at least 5 years’ experience as an RN in clinic setting, shown progression of responsibility in a leadership role.
