About the role
The Clinical Operations Manager is responsible for translating and achieving strategic priorities and outcomes at IU Health Fort Wayne. This role leads an interprofessional team to create an environment where excellence in patient and organizational outcomes can be achieved.
Responsibilities
- Translates and achieves strategic priorities and outcomes: quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences.
- Provides strategic vision and operational planning for assigned unit.
- Led an interprofessional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes.
- Advocates for and embeds evidenced-based practices and professional nursing standards.
- Oversees the unit that is operational and staffed 24x7, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) or Master of Nursing (MSN).
- Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- Specialty certification related to nursing practice or leadership is preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
Qualifications
- Previous OR experience is preferred.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
