Clinical Obesity Medicine Physician
The Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes, with the Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking a dynamic, patient-focused, compassionate clinical physician specializing in Obesity Medicine to join our expanding comprehensive weight management program at the University of Utah.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct outpatient care for patients with obesity and obesity related conditions
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that incorporate behavioral, nutritional, pharmacologic, and bariatric surgical therapies
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team that includes other specialists, dietitians, psychologists, exercise physiologist, and surgeons
- Contribute to program development, quality improvement initiatives, clinical research, community outreach, and educational activities
Qualifications
- Candidates must have ABIM or ABFM certification
- Have obesity training, ideally with fellowship training and board certification in obesity medicine from the American Board of Obesity Medicine
- Must be eligible for a medical license in the State of Utah
