Clinical Nurse - Wound & Ostomy

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care by assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions within established standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, including education on managing illnesses, medication administration, and post-treatment needs.

Responsibilities

• Promote a healing environment and educate patients and families.
• Participate in activities enhancing patient safety, quality, and compliance, and engage in professional development.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the interprofessional team, ensuring effective communication across care continuum.
• Use critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment requiring alertness and safe practices.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree and RN licensure; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience: No experience required; 2+ years preferred.
• Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.

Schedule

Requires working some holidays and weekends, with shift hours from 7 PM to 7:30 AM every 6th weekend rotation.
