The Clinical Nurse II position at Bean 5 is a high-paced 43-bed medical respiratory unit with an embedded 8-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMC). The unit specializes in acute on chronic states, respiratory failure, complex vascular, general surgical, and neuroscience conditions, sepsis, and multisystem organ failure. Nurses here must demonstrate astute assessment and critical thinking skills, as patients often have multi-system issues requiring continuous monitoring, medication drips, and frequent interventions.
Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose patient needs, risks, and interventions.
- Implement and document nursing care plans based on assessment findings.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for ventilator weaning and patient care.
- Provide care in a unique clinical setting that includes medical telemetry, IMC, and Assisted Ventilation Unit (AVU).
Requirements
- At least 1 year of RN work experience.
- Respiratory or IMC experience preferred.
- Ventilator experience strongly preferred.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state of Maine.
- Certification in relevant specialty preferred.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Evidence of 10 hours of ongoing education per year.

Pay
The pay for this part-time night shift opportunity consists of 2, 12-hour shifts per week.
