About the role
This is a Clinical Nurse II vacancy open to candidates with greater than 1 year of RN work experience.
Responsibilities
- Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team to provide safe, effective, and efficient nursing care to patients and families.
- Assesses, diagnoses, plans, implements, documents, and evaluates the effects of nursing care.
- Coordinates patient and family care across the continuum, including inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
- Provides care that is patient and family centered, promoting a healing environment.
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Maine.
- At least 1 year prior RN work experience.
- Certification in relevant specialty preferred.
- Basic knowledge of the research base, theory, practices, principles, and processes of professional nursing.
- Analytical ability to identify changes in patients' conditions and initiate appropriate action.
- Ability to identify potential crisis situations and initiate appropriate action.
- Demonstrates a caring nursing practice and promotes a healing environment for patients and families.
- Knowledge and technical skills to care for most patient populations on the unit.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Evidence of 10 hours of ongoing education per year.
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Knowledge of research base, theory, practices, principles, and processes of professional nursing.
- Technical skills to care for most patient populations on the unit.

Schedule
This is a part-time night shift opportunity consisting of 2, 12 hour shifts per week.
