Clinical Nurse Risk Manager

About the role

A hospital in the Bronx is seeking a Clinical Risk Manager to support day-to-day clinical risk management and patient safety activities. This is a great opportunity for an experienced RN with hands-on clinical risk responsibilities who is looking to transition away from bedside care and build their career in Risk Management.

Responsibilities

• Investigating clinical incidents and managing event reporting activities
• Conducting root cause analyses and supporting NYPORTS reporting and investigations
• Identifying and evaluating clinical risks and recommending strategies to improve patient safety and reduce adverse events
• Supporting New York State Department of Health surveys and regulatory requirements
• Analyzing risk management data and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards

Requirements

• BSN and active RN license required
• 3-5 years of clinical experience with significant risk management responsibilities
• Experience with incident/event reporting and root cause analysis required
• NYPORTS and New York State Department of Health survey experience strongly preferred

Pay

Compensation: $115,000-$120,000
