Clinical Nurse - Rapid Response/Code Team (Nights)

About the role

The Rapid Response/Code Team Clinical Nurse acts as a hospital-wide resource, responding to emergencies such as Code Blue, Code White, CAT events, and traumas. They provide guidance and education to staff on less familiar procedures, ensuring patient safety and high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.
• Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment needs, and medication administration.
• Participate in activities that enhance safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and engage in professional development.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values, cultural, and spiritual factors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Critical Care or Emergency Department experience.
• ACLS Certification required.
• Nursing diploma/associate's degree; RN license; bachelor's degree preferred.
