Role Overview
This Clinical Nurse on the Rapid Response/Code Team acts as a hospital-wide resource, responding to emergencies such as Code Blue, Code White, CAT events, and traumas. They provide guidance and education to staff performing less familiar procedures, ensuring patient safety and quality care.
Responsibilities
- Responding to emergency situations and offering clinical support
- Assessing and managing patient needs through direct care activities
- Educating patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration
- Developing and documenting individualized care plans collaboratively
- Promoting safety, regulatory compliance, and professional development
Qualifications & Skills
- Must have a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree, RN licensure, and minimum of 2 years of Critical Care or Emergency Department experience.
- ACLS certification is required.
- PREFERRED qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Critical nursing skills, alertness, and the ability to work safely are essential.
