Clinical Nurse Practitioner - CW Hope MCI - Children's and Women's Hospital

Responsibilities

• Increase capacity to evaluate general pediatric neurological problems due to steadily and sharply increasing service demand.
• Perform outpatient pediatric neurology evaluations in a high-demand, growing service.
• Demonstrate knowledge of neurology medications.
• Evaluate new general neurology patients.
• See follow-up patients from the hospital in the clinic setting.
• Take patient calls and discuss results with parents.
• Complete all mandatory department, educational, and hospital requirements.
• Adhere to current infection control and safety standards.
• Maintain regular and prompt attendance.
• Work scheduled hours as defined, including overtime as required.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama.
• Completion of an approved nurse practitioner training program.
• Certified Nurse Practitioner Certification as a nurse practitioner.
• Licensed Nurse Practitioner Licensure with the state of Alabama as a nurse practitioner.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with the state of Alabama and/or Compact State Licensure.
• Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
