About the Role
This position provides 24/7 nurse support via a Physician Access Line/Children’s Direct team, serving as an immediate link for referring physicians to admit patients, dispatch transport, obtain consultations, schedule specialist appointments, and request patient information.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.
- Promote patient and family-centered care, educate on illness management, and ensure effective communication of care plans across teams.
- Participate in safety, quality, and professional development initiatives.
- Assess patients holistically, considering cultural, emotional, and psychosocial needs.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of pediatric ICU or ED nursing experience.
- Active RN license required.
- Preferred: BSN and computer skills.
- Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and professionalism.
Schedule
Hybrid role with 8-hour shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
