Clinical Nurse PACU

About the Role

Provides direct patient care in a high-acuity PACU environment, managing diverse cases including neuro, transplant, ortho, ENT, cardio, vascular, thoracic, trauma, and spine patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to standards and collaborative goals.
• Educate patients and families on post-treatment care, medication management, and injury recovery.
• Promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; participate in ongoing professional development.
• Develop and communicate individualized care plans, considering patient preferences and psychosocial needs.
• Utilize critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, ensuring holistic care.
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment requiring constant alertness.

Requirements

• RN license with a Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred).
• No prior experience required; less than two years of experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
