About the role
The Clinical Nurse-Outpatient Infusion Oncology position at Northwestern Medicine is a full-time day shift role.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care to phase 1/2 clinical trial oncology patients through administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy and investigational medications and execution of clinical trial responsibilities.
- Completes required documentation and study related activities required per research protocols.
- Works with a multi-disciplinary team to coordinate patient care for their assigned team(s) based on disease type.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an NLN accredited school/college of nursing
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher
- Current State of Illinois, Registered Professional Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR through American Heart Association
- Analytic ability (conceptual and quantitative)
- Oral, listening and written communication skills
- Strong human relation skills to interact effectively and collaborate with others in difficult situations
- Use of a keyboard to enter or retrieve data
