Role Overview
Provides direct patient care in an orthopedic unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating them on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients/caregivers.
- Assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
- Participates in activities to ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development.
Qualifications & Skills
- Licensed RN with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's or Bachelor's degree (preferred).
- No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work safely and remain alert in a safety-sensitive environment.
Unit Environment & Patient Population
- Specialized orthopedic care covering foot, ankle, hand, joint, spine, trauma, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions.
