Clinical Nurse - Orthopedic Surgery

About the role

Provides direct patient care in an orthopedic unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing activities within established standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management and post-treatment needs. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to develop and communicate individualized care plans, addressing physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs. Ensures patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while participating in professional development. Utilizes critical nursing skills for comprehensive assessments and evaluations, considering patient preferences and barriers. This position is safety-sensitive, requiring constant alertness. Responsibilities

• Deliver holistic nursing care tailored to orthopedic patients, including those with trauma, joint replacements, spine surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Educate patients and families on care management, medication, and post-discharge needs.
• Maintain safety standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans with clear goals and effective communication across care teams.
• Assess physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs, respecting patient values and cultural backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Licenses: Current RN license.
• Experience: No experience required; 2+ years preferred.
